Armida Siguion-Reyna
Singer, actress, movie producer and former Movies and Televison Review Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairperson, Armida Ponce-Enrile Siguion-Reyna was
born on November 4, 1930. She studied at the Philippine Women's University (PWU). She has starred in operas like "Lucia de Lammermoor", "La Traviata",
"The Merry widow", and in the zarzuela entitled "Ang Mestiza". She is well-known for her musical TV show "Aawitan Kita", where artists/guests get to
sing kundimans or Filipino love songs. She has recorded the following albums: “Aawitan Kita” Vols 1 and 2 for Villar Records, “Armida” for Dyna Records
and “Sa Lungkot at Saya…Aawitan Kita” for Viva records. In 2004 she released an album, POP LOLA, where she sings OPM pop songs in lieue of her signature
kundiman songs.
