Lea Salonga must read Arnel Ramos’s aria which makes a lot of sense.

“PROUD TO BE “MABABAW”: By this time, one expects Tony and Olivier winner Lea Salonga to be astute and sensitive enough to know na may tamang panahon ang pagpapaka-profound.

“Bigla tuloy naalala ng sambayanan na before Miss Saigon and Sana Maulit Muli, you appeared in Puto. Grabe, ang lalim kaya ng pelikulang ‘yun. Hindi ko pa rin maarok ’til now.”

That was Arnel’s simple yet tagos sa pusong aria. Oo nga naman. Before you made a mark as an international Broadway singer, and world renowned at that, you were once in a “mababaw” kind of film.

Actually, using mababaw is an indirect swipe to people who hardly watch English shows, who hardly knew Broadway and the like. Mababaw, to us, is a very condescending word.
Kaliwa’t kanan ang natanggap niyang pamba-bash from netizens.

But she denied na sina Alden at Yaya Dub ang tinutukoy niya.

LEA Salonga found herself being at the center of hate when she tweeted, “Okay lang sa akin ang kababawan, pero hanggang doon na lamang ba tayo? #NagtatanongLangPo.”
Some people on social media took it to mean that she’s taking a swipe at the Eat Bulaga love team, AlDub.

Many of them cited the love team’s observance of family values. They collectively rammed on Lea’s throat that AlDub is a very positive team-up as they espouses good values on the youth.

Feeling defensive, Lea tweeted, “Ang daming judgmental at defensive dito. Haaaaay, di niyo na-gets ang tweet ko. “For those of you that replied about BALANCE, you rock my world.
That’s what I was after. We all need fun, but that can’t be all there is.

She denied having an idea na may malaki palang ganap sa Eat Bulaga last Saturday, saying, “Uhmmm… I have no idea what’s going on. Why did people assume I was tweeting about AlDub? I wasn’t.

I don’t know about it. So why the hate? “Only now am I finding out that today was a significant day. I honestly had zero idea anything was going on! My tweet was pure coincidence!”
Then, she pleaded, “So stop the hatred, the negative assumptions, whatever you’re throwing at me. Just send me links so I know what the fuss is about.”

It was not clear, however, kung sino at ano ang tinutukoy ni Lea na kababawan. It would certainly make her defense more effective kung tinukoy niya kung ano ang sinasabi niyang kababawan.

But she didn’t, the reason why people on social media were enraged. Gets mo Lea?

Lea nagpaputol ng buhok, may pinagdaraanan?

LUMIPAD papuntang New York, USA ang Broadway Diva na si Lea Salonga right after ng grand finals ng The Voice Kids kung saan isa siya sa mga coach last Monday. Balik-Broadway si Lea at next year na siya ulit mapapanood sa The Voice for the blind auditions.

“Alis na ako tomorrow for New York and I’ll have this entire season.

Natalo man ang mga panlaban ni Lea sa grand finals, super proud daw siya dahil sa mga nagawang pagkanta nila and their journey in the show has just been very, very inspiring.
This is where it begins,” ani Lea.

Nagbigay din ng paunang mensahe si Lea para sa tatanghaling grand champion sa The Voice Kids season 2, “To whoe- ver wins, congratulations to you. You absolutely deserved it.

Ah, enjoy the rest of the whirlwind ride.”
Tinanong din namin si Lea kung matutuloy pa ba ang movie nila ni Aga Muhlach under Star Cinema, “When I’m back for good na,” sabi ni Lea. “Kung kailan man ‘yun. I mean, I get back, and then, I think there’s some waiting time. I need, rest talaga for couple of years.”

“No emotional, nothing. I just wanted a change. I wanted convenience. I want that when I got up in the morning I can run up the door and my hair will be good. It’s just fun.”

bitaw niya ng salita when she tweeted, “Just because an artist that gets into TVOP doesn’t conform to your taste, it doesn’t give you the right to bash them. Wala kang karapatan.”
But her recent tweet has attracted more bashers like this one who said, “Sumosobra na tong si Lea kala mo kung sinong magsalita pero kung mag bash sya tse hypokrita mo.”
“Ayan nanaman si TITA Lea. Such a pontificating, self-righteous woman. Lumaki ka kamo sa Tate where hard truths are dished out pero ikaw mismo hindi mo keri. Che!” say naman ng isa pa.
This one nailed it, “Don’t take my fan, don’t call me tita, can’t say this or that, do as I say but not as I do. Lea sounds like a hypocritical dictator.” Aray ko!
One Lea fan defended the singer and said, “Agree with Lea.
We think that since Lea opened herself on social media, talagang hindi mapipigilan na merong mam-bash sa ‘yo.
Gets mo, Lea?
