Alfred Vargas

Alfredo Paolo Dumlao Vargas III (born on October 24, 1979 in San Juan City) is a Filipino actor and model. He was elected councilor in the 2nd District of Quezon City in 2010. In the year 2013, he was overwhelmingly elected for a Congressional Seat representing the newly created Fifth District of Quezon City. He will seek a re-election in the 2016 elections on the same position.

Alfred Vargas was born on October 24, 1981 in San Juan City. He is the son of Alfredo Vargas, Jr and Susana Dumlao Vargas.

Vargas graduated in A.B. Management Economics in Ateneo de Manila University. For his graduate studies, he went to the University of the Philippines Diliman to pursue a master's degree in public administration. He began his career as a member of ABS-CBN Star Magic (formerly Star Circle) acting workshop Batch 10. From there, he had his TV role in the drama soap opera, Pangako Sa'yo, from the same network. But this Ateneo de Manila graduate was acting in theatre long before the talent scouts lured him into television.

His breakthrough role came in the film Bridal Shower. After this, Vargas moved to the GMA Network where he featured in three shows in Philippine television: the daytime drama series, Daisy Siete, the fantasy series, Encantadia (as Aquil), and its prequel series Etheria (as Amarro, Aquil's father).

He played the leading role on the GMA daytime series Muli, opposite the Malaysian actress Carrie Lee and Marian Rivera as well as being part of the cast of Impostora in 2007. In 2008, he worked again with Marian Rivera in Dyesebel. He is also part of the upcoming installment of Una Kang Naging Akin co-starring Angelika dela Cruz, in which he plays "Ronnie".

His most recent movie projects include Status: Single and When I Met U. He is set to do an indie film, Amamanhig. In 2009, he appeared in All About Eve where he is reunited with his Impostora castmates Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, and Mark Anthony Fernandez. He then made a villainous turn when he played the pirate captain Lima Wong in Zorro. He went on to play "Gabriel" in Darna but had to leave the series as he applied for candidacy for councilor.

In 2010 Alfred Vargas was reappearing in "Darna", becoming a successful reporter.

In December 2010 he moved from the GMA-7 network to ABS-CBN and did projects for ABS-CBN, without contract as he is a public servant and cannot be exclusive.

In Quezon City local elections for District 2 on May 11, 2010, he was elected city councilor, with the second-highest number of votes in the district.

Vargas won for the Congress in 2013, due to reapportioning from 2nd district to newly created 5th district of Quezon City which consist parts of Novaliches area, under the administration (LP/NP/NPC/NUP) coalition. His opponent is former old 2nd district Representatives Annie Rosa Susano (of Lakas) and Dante Liban (of the United Nationalist Alliance).

He is the face of GMA 7's Extra Challenge. He is also one of S-files’ ultra glamorous hosts. He is now a household name. He is Paolo Bediones, one of the Philippines premier hosts both on-air and in big events

Paolo Bediones (1974 - )

Paolo Bediones (born March 17, 1974) is a Filipino television host, newscaster, and radio announcer.

Bediones started his career as a commercial model, and later transitioned to television show hosting. He is best known for hosting GMA Network's Extra Challenge and Survivor Philippines.He is now a TV host and the newest newscaster on TV5.

On December 3, 2009, Bediones announced in a press conference that he had signed a three-year exclusive contract with TV5.

His previous girlfriend was former beauty queen Abby Cruz. His late great grandfather was Maximo Bediones (1820–1932). Bediones has three sisters.

Bediones is a former TV host of a defunct MTV Philippines program Para Bos' and Gameplan TV where he won "Best TV Host" alongside co-hosts Suzi Entrata-Abrera and Mondo Castro of the band The Pin-Ups. His previously hosted shows on GMA Network are Channel S, Gameplan, Digital LG Challenge (formerly Digital LG Quiz), Extra Extra, Extra Challenge, ETChing, S-Files, Mornings @ GMA, Whammy! Push Your Luck, Unang Hirit, Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon Pasok!, Pinoy Meets World, and Survivor Philippines (Seasons 1 and 2) on GMA 7 and hosted Sapul sa Singko (formerly Sapul) on TV5.

He is expected to return to hosting when Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Philippines premieres on TV5 in 2012.

He's now host a public service program called Rescue 5, and also he's now also host a reality show Demolition Job and a sports program Astig in 2013 on TV5.

Since he did not become a news anchor for GMA News, and due to TV5 can't hire news anchor from ABS-CBN and GMA when Manny Pangilinan acquire TV5 from Tonyboy Cojuangco in late 2009, Bediones became a news anchor of Aksyon alongside Cheryl Cosim and later Erwin Tulfo. This was his first time as a newscaster for News5.

He was also given a public affairs program USI: Under Special Investigation on TV5 which airs every Sunday nights.

On February 18, 2011, Bediones left Aksyon to anchor Aksyon JournalisMO as a replacement for Martin Andanar. There he joined Cheri Mercado and Jove Francisco.

On February 22, 2012, Bediones joined together with Cheri Mercado to anchor a former news program entitled Pilipinas News replacing the former news program, Aksyon Journalismo.

On July 21, 2014, Bediones reunited with Cheryl Cosim for a new news program entitled Aksyon Tonite. This was Paolo's fourth over-all news program on News5 via TV5. He quit in late August, as he will shortly start a new restaurant business

Since Bediones did not become an announcer on GMA's DZBB-AM, he became an announcer for Radyo5 92.3 News FM as a member of News5. There, he hosts Sakto kay Paolo, Sakto (rin) kay Cheri and renamed Trabaho Lang with Pilipinas News co-anchor Cheri Mercado airing every weeknight.

Marvic Castelo Sotto (born April 28, 1954), known as Vic Sotto, is a Filipino actor, television show host, comedian, and film producer who worked for the three major TV stations GMA Network, TV5 and ABS-CBN. He owns a film and TV production outfit named M - Zet Productions. He is one of the pioneer hosts of Eat Bulaga! which is the longest running noon-time variety show in the Philippines. He won three consecutive titles for Philippine Box Office King (2004, 2005, and 2006).

Marvic Castelo Sotto was born on April 28, 1954 to Marcelino Ojeda Sotto, Sr. and Dr. Herminia Castelo. He studied at Colegio de San Juan de Letran. He is the brother of Marcelino "Maru" Sotto, Jr., Vicente "Tito" Sotto, and Valmar "Val" Sotto

He started his career as a folk singer and guitarist. During these years, Sotto was also the lead vocalist of the disco funk band VST & Company. He produced such songs as "Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko", "Rock, Baby, Rock", and "Kung Sakali".

He joined his brothers Tito and Val in the early 1970s gag show OK Lang under IBC 13. This is where he met another comedian, Joey de Leon, who invited the brothers to join him. The trio of Tito, Vic and Joey (TVJ) was thus formed, casting in Iskul Bukol, TVJ (Television's Jesters), Rock and Roll 2000 and hosting Eat Bulaga!

In the last three decades, he has done sitcoms and television shows for 3 networks, ABS-CBN, GMA Network and TV5 (most of which were for GMA).

Sotto has 4 children from previous relationships: Vico Sotto (with actress Coney Reyes), Danica Sotto-Pingris and Oyo Sotto (with actress Dina Bonnevie) and Paulina Sotto (with former commercial model / TV actress Angela Luz).

Sotto confirmed his engagement to Eat Bulaga! co-host Pauleen Luna last September 2015. The couple married last January 30, 2016 at Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City
