Born on 7-Jul-1907 to William Henry GARDNER, a Manila Police Officer, and Ceferina De Castro in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines.  His father, an American soldier from Tennessee, arrived in the Philippines in 1899 to fight in the Philippine Insurrection and began serving as a policeman under the American administration in 1901. Marvin Edward was the eldest surviving child with four sisters and one brother

My parents made their home in Manila and reared a family of eight. Two died in infancy, leaving two boys and four girls. Marvin was the oldest boy and George, the youngest. The girls were Dolores, Trinidad, Cora and I (Flora). We lived at the back of the police station. Papa was assistant to the captain and was on 24-hour call. The jail was on the front side of the police station. We always felt safe and well cared for since we were so close to where Papa and the policemen worked.

After Papa died of a heart attack on March 12, 1929, our family had to move out of the police precinct. I was a pre-teen and still not aware of the many problems of life without our father.

Marvin was away at sea working on a freighter that sailed for America.

Marvin joined a movie company and became an actor (early 1930's). He was so handsome that he became known as the "Rudolf Valentino of the Philippines." His professional name was Eduardo de Castro (after Mama's maiden name). She was so proud of him and would point out to us his name on banners and billboards announcing his movies. He later became a director. His career flourished and he married his leading lady (Florence Little). What a good looking pair they were! Later he became father of two handsome boys.

The war changed all our lives (1942-1945). Although Manila was declared an "open city," it was continually bombed. Manila Bay was a graveyard of sunken ships.

George, who was then a teenager, joined my brother Marvin with the guerillas in the hills. George evaded arrest and returned home just before liberation, but Marvin was caught and imprisoned in the infamous Fort Santiago in Manila's walled city (Intramuros). When he was released, we could not recognize him with his beard and unkempt rags hanging from his emaciated body. He looked like a walking skeleton but thank God he was alive.

Clarence William Delgado (born December 15, 2004) commonly known and familiar as Clarence, is a Filipino teen actor. He was discovered by Star Circle Quest 2011 where he won as The Male Winner.^[1] He is part of the gag show Goin Bulilit and he's also part of Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes movie titled Way Back Home.

After the sudden closure of ABS-CBN 2 due to a non-renewal of their 25 year franchise and also with no permission granted from NTC, Clarence was affected after the said closure and he had no choice, his last ABS-CBN 2 show was "Wansapanataym" with former PBB Champion Maymay Entrata in 2019, but until he finally decided to transfer to GMA 7 in 2020, and also marking his very first Kapuso program, "First Yaya" with co stars veteran actor Gabby "Gabo" Concepcion who plays as a handsome president of the Philippines and millennial actress Sanya Lopez who plays as a mestiza yaya was also fell in love with the president, the recent current teleserye was aired last February 2021.

Lyca Jane Epe Gairanod (born November 21, 2004) is a Filipino singer and actress. She won the first season of The Voice Kids Philippines, where she landed a recording contract with MCA Music Inc. (Philippines) She subsequently made her first television appearance as an actress portraying herself in ABS-CBN's Maalaala Mo Kaya and guested in ABS-CBN's Hawak-Kamay the following month.

Gairanod was born on November 21, 2004 in Tanza, Cavite, Philippines. Her family collected plastic materials, bottles, and other recyclable items for added income. Her father was a fisherman, and her mother, Maria Nessel Gairanod, scavenged used bottles and old newspapers. Gairanod helped her mother and sang for her neighbors in exchange for money and food. Gairanod said she was not forced by her mother to find recyclable materials but wanted to help her family and earn an allowance. 

The Voice Kids' stint and championship

During ABS-CBN's The Voice Kids season one auditions, which aired on May 8, 2014, Gairanod performed Aegis' "Halik". Coach Sarah Geronimo pressed the button for her. Coach Lea Salonga was supposed to press her button but did not because she felt that the two were "meant to be".

She advanced to the sing-off round by winning the battles round on July 12, 2014, against Isaac Zamudio and Lee Marcelino. They sang "Isang Lahi" by Regine Velasquez.

The battles round was followed by the sing-offs. Per team, two artists are chosen by their coaches for the live shows. Unlike in the battles where the coach picks the song for the artists, in the sing-offs, the song is chosen by the artists.

She advanced to the semi-finals after being chosen by Sarah Geronimo as one of the two would-be representatives of team Sarah among five contenders, performing the Tagalog version of Luther Vandross' "Dance with My Father". 

She advanced to the finals after singing "Pangarap na Bituin" by her mentor Sarah Geronimo during the live semi-finals on July 19, 2014, in Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, Pasay. She received the highest number of votes. While Salonga stated that the song is usually sung by persons who have dreams to fulfill, Geronimo said that the child is slowly reaching her dream, and that she could help her family escape from poverty. 

The voting mechanics for the live finals is based on the accumulated votes per round: power ballad round, upbeat song round, and a duet with a celebrity round. Voting lines are opened between the end and the start of each round. At the end of the three rounds, all votes are tallied and the artist who gains the highest accumulated votes is declared the winner. 

The first episode of the finals was opened by the top four artists with a medley rendition of Sponge Cola's "Bitiw", Rocksteddy's "Superhero", and Sandwich's "Sugod". 

Gairanod sang Regine Velasquez's "Narito Ako" on the first round of the finals. She also sang Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" on the second round and Aegis' "Basang-basa sa Ulan" on the third round. She was proclaimed the winner at the end of the competition.

Xyriel Anne Bustamante Manabat (born January 27, 2004), is a Filipina child actress. She is most commonly known for playing roles of child characters in teleseryes.

Ms. Manabat was born on January 27, 2004 to Daryl Jake Manabat and Elizabeth Dianne Bustamante-Manabat.

She also has a brother named Xandrei Ezekiel Manabat. Ms. Manabat is also a member of the Filipino religious cult Iglesia ni Cristo.

Manabat began acting in 2009 after joining Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Idol, where she place 3rd Runner-Up in the talent competition. She appeared in several television programmes after that, but her breakthrough role was playing the young Agua and Bendita in the eponymous series. She later received the title role in the teleserye, Momay.

After Momay concluded, she appeared in the series Noah. In 2011, she starred alongside Coney Reyes as the demanding Anna Manalastas in 100 Days To Heaven. On December 26, 2010, Manabat won Best Child Actress of the 36th Metro Manila Film Festival for her role in the comedy film, Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na 'To!). In 2014, she stars in Hawak Kamay with Zaijian Jaranilla, Andrea Brillantes and Piolo Pascual.

In late June 2020, Ms. Manabat graduated from high school with high honors.

Si Pacita del Rio ay isa sa mga tinitingalang kontravida bago p magkagiyera.  Helen Johnson ang tunay niyang pangalan at ipinanganak noong September 23 1921.  Karamihan sa kanyang papel ay mistress o babaeng nang-aagaw ng sawa, katunayan pito (7) sa pelikula ni Carmen Rosales ay siya ang kontrabida kaya lalo siyang nakilala hanggang dumating ang mga Hapon sa Pilipinas .

Ako'y Maghihintay ang una niyang pelikula noong 1938 at sinundan ito ng Arimunding-Munding kung saan siya ang kontrabidang babae sa buhay nina Jose Padilla Jr at Carmen Rosales, nakagawa pa siya ng apat na pelikula tulad ng Lihim ng Kapatid (1940), Ave Maria (1940), Ikaw Pa Rin (1940) at ang kahuli hulihan ay Dating Sumpaan na pawang sa ilalim ng Excelsior Pictures.

Lumipat siya sa LVN Pictures at nakagawa naman siya dito ng 2 pelikula ang Patawad (1940) ni Purita Santamaria, Maginoong takas (1940) kabituin ni Leopoldo Salcedo at Mila del Sol.

Noong 1941, nagbalik kontrabida siya sa buhay ni Carmen Rosales sa ilalim naman ng Sampaguita Pictures ilan dito ay Carmen (1941) ni carmen Rosales at Jose Padilla Jr, Prinsesita (1941) kabituin sina Jose Padilla Jr, Carmen Rosales at ang noo'y  dalagitang si Linda Estrella, Mariposa (1941) bilang kontrabida ni Corazon Noble at Angel Esmeralda, Panibugho (1941) nina Corazon Noble at Jose Padilla Jr, sa iyong Kandungan kasama sina Corazon Noble at Ely Ramos, 

Bago pa man maganap ang Pangalawang Digmaang pandaigdig si Pacita ay nakagawa ng ilang pelikula tulad ng Sa Iyong Kandungan (1941) kasama sina Corazon Noble at Ely Ramos, Tampuhan (1941) kasama sina Carmen at Rogelio at ang kahuli-hulihan niyang pelikula bago mag WWII ay ang Palikero (1941) kabituin si Jose Padilla Jr

Pagkatapos sumiklab ang Pangalawang Digmaan noong 1946 ay nagbalik pelikula siya sa Ligaya (1946) sa ilalim ng Oriental Pictures at ang pagbabalik niya sa Sampaguita Picture ang Si Si Senorito (1947) kabituin si Oscar Moreno.

Nakagawa din siya ng isnag pelikula sa produksyon ni Fernando Poe Sr. ang Anak-Pawis (1947) at dalawang LVN Pictures ang Oh Salapi kasama sina Pugo at Tugo at ang hulign pelikula niya ang Waling-Waling (1948) ni Rebecca Gonzalez.

Mayroon siyang isnag anak si Bernard Johnson na hindi nag-artista 

Siya ay binawian ng buhay noong November 13, 1989 sa San Diego, California sa edad na 69.

Ahron Villena (born Roche Ahron Villena on March 10, 1987) is a Filipino actor. He was formerly a member of ABS-CBN's circle of homegrown talents Star Magic and is currently a freelance artist.

In 2004, he joined and won the ABS-CBN noontime show MTB: Ang Saya-Saya's talent search called TV Idol Ur D’' on August 21, 2004. Since then, he has appeared in local television dramas, anthology series and movies.

In 2010, he moved from ABS-CBN's rival station GMA Network to join Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown. He currently serves as a Sangguniang Kabataan's Chairman in Brgy. San Jose Sico, Batangas City. Villena attends the Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City with fellow actors Megan Young, Alfred Navarro, Che Tolentino, Charles Christianson, Kontin Roque, Sugar Mercado, Sophia Montecarlo, Erich Gonzales, Alvin Aragon, Eslove Briones, Shey Bustamante, Joe Vargas and Marco Aytona. After Survivor Philippines, he went back to ABS-CBN but has since left the talent management and remains a freelancer.
